We announce the recent passing of our former partner Mark D. Schuman. He died of complications from cancer. Mark was an integral part of the firm for many years. We are mournful of his passing and grateful that we were able to know and work with Mark.
Throughout his distinguished career Mark exemplified the highest standards of legal practice, professionalism, and dedication. As a mentor, colleague, and friend, he enriched the lives of those who knew and worked with him.
In 1985 Mark earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, cum laude, and was law review editor, and a member of Order of the Coif. In 1982 he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, with distinction.
Mark retired from the firm in 2018. Following that, Mark and his beloved wife, Amy, were able to enjoy retirement, living in Wisconsin.
Our thoughts are with Mark’s family during this difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies and offer our support as they navigate this loss.
We respected Mark and his stellar legal career and feel privileged to have been his friends and law partners.
